IgNar’s Alistar aids FlyQuest in giving Dignitas their initial defeat of 2020 LCS Spring Split

FlyQuest Support IgNar leads the charge in victory against Dignitas

FlyQuest support Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun played a crucial role in his team’s win last night, handing Dignitas their first loss of the 2020 League of Legends season.

A spicy match from the start

The match was intense from the draft phase. Rumble, a strong teamfight pick, managed to slip past the bans for only the third time this split. FlyQuest mid laner Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage was thrilled with this opportunity as he had previously played Rumble and performed exceptionally well with three kills and 12 assists in a win over CLG last week.

“We expected Rumble to be banned,” PowerOfEvil told . “We need to snowball early game, we need to get me ahead.”

PowerOfEvil dominated the game on Rumble, ending with a score of 9/0/5.

Despite Dignitas banning out PowerOfEvil’s preferred champions and forcing him onto Ekko, the game turned in FlyQuest’s favor thanks to the roaming presence of IgNar on Alistar. IgNar’s map-wide pressure made it difficult for Dignitas to regain control.

PowerOfEvil commended IgNar for creating pressure on Dignitas’ carries, particularly Johnson “Johnsun” Nguyen’s Aphelios, who was rendered ineffective during teamfights.

“[IgNar] really knows how to engage, how to play out the teamfights,” PowerOfEvil said. “There’s a lot of synergy from when we played together on Misfits, which helped us excel in these team fights.”

FlyQuest bounced back after a tough loss to Team Liquid, proving themselves as a top-tier team in the LCS with a victory over Dignitas.

“I think we recovered really well today,” PowerOfEvil said. “We weren’t as scared.”

Dignitas, previously undefeated with a win against Team Liquid, now face the challenge of reflecting on their performance after such a one-sided defeat against FlyQuest.

Cloud9 remains at the top of the LCS standings as the only undefeated team. However, both Dignitas and FlyQuest are closely trailing with a 3-1 record after two weeks.
