IgNar departs FlyQuest to join Evil Geniuses for the upcoming 2021 LCS season

IgNar Joins Evil Geniuses for the 2021 League of Legends Season

Former FlyQuest support IgNar has officially signed with Evil Geniuses for the upcoming 2021 League of Legends season. The news was confirmed by the organization today.

The move was first reported by EsportManiacos reporter Pablo Suárez when the free agency period began on Nov. 16. IgNar will be replacing Zeyzal on EG’s roster and will occupy an import slot.

IgNar made the transition from the LEC to the North American region last year, joining FlyQuest for the 2020 season. He played a crucial role in FlyQuest’s success, helping the team secure back-to-back appearances in the LCS finals and qualify for their first World Championship.

Unfortunately, FlyQuest was unable to advance past the group stage of Worlds 2020. During the offseason, the organization decided to part ways with key players including jungler Santorin, mid laner PowerOfEvil, and AD carry WildTurtle. Only top laner Solo remains from FlyQuest’s 2020 roster.

EG has also made several roster changes during the offseason, parting ways with support Zeyzal, mid laner Goldenglue, and AD carry Bang. The organization has retained Jiizuke, Svenskeren, and Huni. However, according to esports reporter Jacob Wolf, there are rumors that the Korean top laner Huni is set to join TSM. Additionally, EG is reportedly acquiring top laner Impact and AD carry Lost.
