Huya Secures Exclusive Broadcasting Rights for LCS and LEC in China

The LCS and LEC Welcome Huya as Exclusive Chinese Broadcasting Partner

The upcoming season of the LCS and LEC will kick off with a bang, thanks to Huya, the new exclusive broadcasting partner in China. Huya, the largest livestreaming company in China, secured a significant investment from Tencent, a multi-billion dollar conglomerate, in March 2018.

This partnership is a significant milestone for Huya, as it has become the sole platform to broadcast all four major regions of League of Legends in China. In addition to its existing three-year deal with the LCK, Huya will now broadcast the LCS and LEC exclusively.

Huya’s collaboration with Western gaming content does not stop here. In 2019, the platform partnered with Team Liquid to offer livestreams from the organization’s players. However, the World Championship broadcast rights still belong to Bilibili, a Chinese video-sharing website, through a three-year deal signed with Riot in 2018.

Mark your calendars for the LEC’s start on Friday, January 24, and the LCS’s kick-off on Saturday, January 25.
