Huni signs with Dignitas for the 2020 LCS season

North American League of Legends Star Huni Joins Team Dignitas

Team Dignitas has announced that Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon, a prominent League of Legends player from North America, will be joining their roster for the 2020 season. This move comes after earlier reports of Huni signing a two-year, $2.3 million contract extension with Dignitas. After acquiring Clutch Gaming in June, Dignitas is making a comeback in the LCS, and Huni is set to be a key player for the team.

Huni’s Return to Form

Dignitas is placing their bets on Huni’s return to form, hoping to see him regain the success he had before returning from Korea in 2018. Huni’s previous teams, Echo Fox and Clutch Gaming, tried to utilize his skills but were unsuccessful. Both teams struggled, with Echo Fox consistently placing at the bottom of the standings and Clutch Gaming being eliminated in the group stage at Worlds without winning a single match.

A Bold Move to the Mid Lane?

There is speculation that Huni might be transitioning from the top lane to the mid lane for Dignitas. This rumor gained traction when Tanner Damonte, previously on Dignitas, revealed that he is now a free agent. If this transition happens, it would be a daring move, but one that could showcase Huni’s exceptional laning ability.

2020 Meta and Huni’s Playstyle

It remains uncertain if the changes implemented by Riot Games in the preseason patches will support Huni’s aggressive and kill-seeking playstyle, as the meta is expected to undergo significant shifts. However, Huni’s flashy play has always captivated fans and viewers in previous years, and it is likely to continue to do so in the upcoming season.
