Huma responds to ‘inaccurate portrayal’ of financial mismanagement

Team Huma Responds to Criticism and Looks to the Future

After a challenging season filled with financial difficulties and missed opportunities, Team Huma is determined to bounce back as they prepare for the upcoming summer season.

In February, it was reported that Team Huma had encountered problems with their finances, leading to players’ salaries and expenses going unpaid. As a result, Riot Games issued a formal warning to the team’s owner, Behdad Jaafarian. However, Huma has recently released a statement claiming that the accusations were an “imprecise portrayal” without providing further details.

Despite these setbacks, Jaafarian initially announced that he would step down at the end of the EUCS spring season. However, recent announcements of new staff members suggest that he will remain involved with the organization. For instance, operations advisor Samar Rezvan is said to work closely with Jaafarian and provide strategic advice.

Acknowledging their mistakes, Team Huma issued an apology to their players for not having the necessary staff and infrastructure in place. Despite these challenges, the team managed to win the EUCS Spring Playoffs. However, they were unable to secure a spot in the LCS following losses to Roccat and Giants Gaming in the Promotion Tournament.

As Team Huma looks ahead to the summer season, they are determined to overcome their past difficulties and prove their worth on the esports stage.
