Huhi transferred to Academy roster during LCS Week 7 by 100 Thieves

100 Thieves Makes Roster Change Amidst Struggles

The past three weeks have been tough for fans of 100 Thieves. The team has lost four out of their last five games, with their only win not being convincing at all. As a result, the team has decided to make a roster change.

100 Thieves Roster Change

The mid laner for 100 Thieves, Choi “Huhi” Jae-hyun, will be moving down to the team’s Academy roster. It is expected that Max “Soligo” Soong, the current Academy mid laner, will take his place on the main lineup. However, Ryu Sang-wook is also available as a substitute.

Struggles and Statistic Analysis

During the 2018 offseason, 100 Thieves had high expectations after acquiring Bae “Bang” Jun-sik and Huhi. Many people considered them to be a strong LCS contender. Unfortunately, their performance has fallen short of those expectations.

Huhi has been singled out by many as the reason for 100 Thieves’ struggles. Statistically, he has been one of the worst mid laners in the league this Spring Split. He has the second-lowest KDA among LCS mid laners and the second-lowest kill participation percentage as well.

Huhi's Statistics

In addition, Huhi has the second-highest death share percentage among NA mid laners. His laning has been weak, and he has made poor decisions during games. However, it’s important to note that the blame cannot solely be placed on Huhi.

Overall Team Struggles

From the beginning of the season, 100 Thieves has lacked coordination from early game to late. Their top laner, Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho, has been struggling to make plays with jungler Andy “AnDa” Hoang. Their botched ganks have often resulted in Ssumday losing his matchup. The bottom lane, consisting of Bang and support Zaqueri “aphromoo” Black, has also struggled during the laning phase.

Looking Ahead

Moving Huhi to the Academy team is just the first step for 100 Thieves. There are more issues that need to be addressed before improvement can be seen. Hopefully, this roster change will spark a turnaround for the team in the remaining weeks of the split.
