How to Remove Challenge Tokens in League of Legends (LoL)
Riot Games recently introduced Challenges to League of Legends in Patch 12.9, but not everyone was a fan of the new feature. However, the game did not provide a clear method to remove Challenge Tokens from your profile.
Luckily, several workarounds have been discovered to address this issue. Here’s everything you need to know about removing Challenge Tokens in LoL.
What are Challenge Tokens in LoL?
Challenge Tokens are a way to track your progress in League of Legends. These tokens are earned by completing challenges and can be displayed on your profile (up to three at a time). You can earn tokens for various achievements such as farming minions, dodging skill shots, getting pentakills, and more.

How to Remove Tokens in LoL
Unfortunately, there is no direct option to remove tokens from the LoL client. However, a GitHub member named MaciejGorczyca has created an open-source program called ChallengesAreEvil which allows you to remove tokens. Simply open League, then open ChallengesAreEvil, and click the “Remove tokens” button.
Another method involves uninstalling and reinstalling the game to reset your League tokens.
How to Change Your Challenge Tokens in LoL
If you want to change the challenge tokens displayed on your profile, follow these steps:
- Log into your account and click on your icon in the top right of the client. This will open the “Customize Identity” screen. In the middle of the screen, you’ll find the “Tokens” tab.
- Switch to the “Tokens” tab to see all the tokens you have unlocked. You can use the search bar to find specific tokens more easily. The tokens you currently have activated will be displayed to the left of the search bar.
- To change a token, click on the one you want to replace, and then select the token you wish to replace it with from the unlocked options.
- If done correctly, the display on the left side of the “Customize Identity” screen should update to reflect the changes.
With these methods, you can remove or change the Challenge Tokens in League of Legends as desired.
