Hashinshin Receives Permanent Twitch Ban Amidst Accusations of Grooming a Minor

Twitch Permanently Bans League of Legends Streamer for Alleged Grooming

Twitch has permanently banned League of Legends streamer Robert “Hashinshin” Brotz following accusations of grooming a woman when she was 15 years old. Brotz confirmed his ban on Twitter.

This ban comes after Maya “Caltys” Henckel, a semi-pro League player, accused Brotz of grooming her in 2017 when she was 15. Henckel shared screenshots of Twitter and Discord conversations with Brotz, where he mentioned her age, made inappropriate comments about her body, and asked for pictures.

Brotz initially dismissed Henckel’s claims in a YouTube video, stating that she used false information to label him as a pedophile and that the screenshots she provided were doctored and edited.

Later, in a since-deleted Twitlonger, Brotz admitted to not remembering the details of the incidents but did not deny several of the allegations. In another statement, he maintained that he did not groom girls, although he acknowledged engaging in inappropriate conversations with teenage women.

Brotz’s ban adds to Twitch’s growing list of permanent bans in response to allegations of sexual assault, harassment, and other forms of misconduct. The platform continues to take action to create a safer environment for its users.
