Hard to play for Echo Fox today

Echo Fox’s starting member returns to LCS after visa issues

One of Echo Fox’s starting members, Canadian jungler Anthony “Hard” Barkhovtsev, will be back on Summoner’s Rift today for the North American League Championship Series (LCS).

Riot Games

Echo Fox owner Rick Fox has confirmed that Barkhovtsev has been cleared to play in the LCS and will replace substitute Jonathan “Grigne” Armao in the team’s game against Team SoloMid.

Remaining visa issues for Echo Fox

However, mid laner Henrik “Froggen” Hansen from Denmark and top laner Park “kfo” Jeong-hun from South Korea have not yet been cleared to play. Substitutes Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer and Colin “Solo” Earnest from Challenger squad Ember will continue to substitute for Hansen and Jeong-hun.

AD carry Yuri “KEITH” Jew and support Terry “BIG” Chuong will also start for the team today.

Background on visa issues

Echo Fox faced visa issues prior to week two of the LCS, which resulted in the team forfeiting their game against NRG Esports. Barkhovtsev, Hansen, and Jeong-hun did not have the proper work visas at the time.

A challenging season for Echo Fox

Echo Fox is currently tied for last place with Renegades, with a 1-5 record. Despite their record, some of their games have been quite close, like their match against Team Liquid in week two. Echo Fox’s substitute squad showed potential and they may have a chance against other teams in the future.

Looking ahead

Today’s game against Team SoloMid will be a tough one for Echo Fox, as SoloMid has a roster full of star players. However, SoloMid’s gameplay has been inconsistent, and Barkhovtsev’s return may be what Echo Fox needs to turn their season around. Barkhovtsev is considered one of the best new junglers in the LCS.

Rick Fox has been approached for additional comment on Barkhovtsev playing today.
