The LCS Summer Split playoffs are set to begin this weekend, featuring action-packed matches in the world of League of Legends. The playoffs will determine which teams will have the opportunity to compete in the World Championship next month.
The playoffs will follow a double-elimination bracket format with eight teams. The top two seeded teams, Cloud9 and Team Liquid, will receive a bye in the first round. All matches will be best-of-five, and the two teams that make it to the finals will secure their spot in Worlds.
The third-place team will also have a chance to compete in the Worlds play-in stage. With four teams that have more than 11 wins during the regular season, the competition for Worlds spots will be fierce, and at least one strong team is expected to be disappointed.
