Griffin’s Viper Secures First Pentakill of LCK 2019 Spring Split
The LCK 2019 Spring Split has already witnessed its first pentakill of the year, courtesy of Griffin AD carry Park “Viper” Do-hyeon.
In a post-game interview, Viper expressed his moderate happiness about the achievement, stating that he was mainly focused on getting kills and winning the game. He mentioned that his teammate Sword encouraged him to go for the pentakill, and although Viper wasn’t initially aware of the opportunity, he managed to secure it in the end.

Astonishing Turnaround for Griffin in Match Against Hanwha Life Esports
Griffin’s pentakill against Hanwha Life Esports was particularly impressive due to the circumstances surrounding it. Initially, Griffin found themselves trailing by a significant 9,000 gold deficit. Lee “Tarzan” Seung-yong, considered one of the best junglers in the world, fell behind in comparison to Hanwha Life’s jungler, Kim “bonO” Gi-beom. As a result, Griffin also struggled as a team.
However, Griffin has a reputation for pulling off incredible teamfights even in dire situations. They demonstrated this once again against Hanwha Life, turning the game around by unexpectedly acing their opponents and securing the Baron.
