Griffin Dominate KINGZONE DragonX, the Reigning LCK Champions

Griffin Dominates LCK Champions KINGZONE DragonX

Griffin, the newcomer in the LCK, continued their impressive run with a resounding victory against the two-time league champions, KINGZONE DragonX.

Despite their undefeated record in the Summer Split’s third week, there were doubts about Griffin’s true skill since they hadn’t faced any top teams. Their match against LCK champions KINGZONE DragonX was their chance to prove themselves as the deserving leaders.

In today’s match, not only did Griffin prove their worth, but they also completely dismantled KINGZONE.

In both games, Griffin only needed one teamfight victory to overpower KINGZONE. Their expertise in skirmishes and teamfights made it nearly impossible for KINGZONE to come back once they fell behind in gold and tempo. Griffin consistently countered KINGZONE’s plays, securing kills and objectives as rewards.

Griffin’s mid laner, Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon, outperformed KINGZONE’s Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong in the Zoe and Irelia mid lane matchups. Chovy confidently explained, “Zoe cannot solo kill Irelia, so I felt really comfortable.”

Throughout both games, Griffin never seemed to lose control. Their exceptional teamfighting allowed them to turn around even the most challenging situations. Despite being rookies in the LCK, Griffin played like seasoned veterans.

Having defeated KINGZONE, Griffin will now prepare for their upcoming match against KT Rolster on June 28.
