GorillA signs with SANDBOX Gaming

Veteran League of Legends Support Player Joins SANDBOX Gaming

Kang “GorillA” Beom-hyun, a seasoned support player in the League of Legends (LoL) community, has recently joined SANDBOX Gaming, as confirmed by the organization itself. This move is expected to enhance the team’s performance and standings in the upcoming LCK Spring 2020 season.

SANDBOX Gaming’s Promising Start

SANDBOX Gaming had an impressive debut year in the LCK, with a lineup consisting of five rookies during the summer season. The team managed to secure a respectable fourth place, boasting a 12-6 standing. However, they narrowly missed out on earning enough circuit points to qualify for Worlds.

GorillA’s Previous Challenges and Achievements

GorillA had a difficult year with the European squad Misfits Gaming, which resulted in the team ranking at the bottom of the league. Despite this setback, GorillA brings a wealth of experience to the table, having won the LCK three times. In 2016, he led ROX Tigers to the semifinals of Worlds, ultimately losing to the tournament’s eventual winners, T1.

Before joining the LEC, GorillA was widely regarded as one of the best support players globally. Alongside Kim “PraY” Jong-in, he consistently delivered strong performances in the bot lane, making him a highly sought-after asset for any team. Although his reputation may have decreased since his time with Misfits, GorillA’s skills and potential remain intact.

GorillA’s Integration into SANDBOX Gaming

As of now, SANDBOX’s current support player Cho “Joker” Jae-eup has not left the team, indicating that GorillA may need to compete for a spot in the starting lineup. The team’s dynamics and how well GorillA fits within the roster are yet to be seen. However, his vast knowledge and experience are expected to bring a much-needed voice and guidance to the team.
