Golden Guardians announce Huhi as starting support for week 7, replacing Keith

Golden Guardians Makes Roster Change: Huhi Steps In as Starting Support

The 2020 LCS Spring Split has reached its sixth week, and Golden Guardians is making a significant roster change. Support player Choi “Huhi” Jae-hyun will now join the starting lineup, replacing Yuri “Keith” Jew.

Over the past month, the LCS has been quite challenging to watch, with several teams still tied for sixth and third place halfway through the season. Unfortunately, the Guardians find themselves in this middle-of-the-pack situation, with a 5-7 record, along with Evil Geniuses, Dignitas, and 100 Thieves.

Although the Guardians have had some victories against lower-ranked teams, their performance has been inconsistent. However, they did manage to secure a surprising win against Team Liquid in week three. To regain their winning streak, the team needs to address several underlying issues.

Team communication has been a significant hurdle, according to the coaching staff. By adding Huhi, a seasoned player, to the lineup, the Guardians hope to benefit from his experience and enhance the performance of their younger players, such as Victor “FBI” Huang and Can “Closer” Çelik.

In terms of stats, Golden Guardians have a lot of ground to cover. They currently hold the lowest KDA among all LCS teams and struggle when playing from behind. While Huhi’s inclusion may improve their macro and decision-making, it will require a considerable effort to turn the team’s performance around.

Don’t miss Huhi’s debut in the 2020 LCS Spring Split as the team faces Dignitas and Cloud9 this Saturday.
