Giants unveils complete lineup for the upcoming 2018 Spring Split

Giants Gaming Reveals Starting Lineup for the EU LCS Spring Split

Giants Gaming, the tenth and final team in the EU LCS, has announced its complete starting lineup for the upcoming Spring Split. The organization has acquired former SK Gaming and Nerv top laner Kim “Ruin” Hyeong-min, Team Vitality’s former jungler Charly “Djoko” Guillard, ADC Pierre “Steeelback” Medjaldi, Roccat’s former mid laner Felix “Betsy” Edling, and support Raphael “Targamas” Crabbe.

After earning promotion to the EU LCS in the 2017 Summer Promotion Tournament, Giants Gaming was obliged to make changes to its entire roster when Team Vitality acquired most of its Challenger Series team during the offseason.

Giants spent one split in the EU Challenger Series after failing to regain promotion to the EU LCS in the 2017 Spring Split. The team ranked last in their group and were relegated along with Origen.

Now back in the EU LCS, Giants has once again rebuilt its roster with the aim of challenging for playoff spots at the end of the season. Nonetheless, their current roster faces a challenging task.

Djoko, Steeelback, and Betsy were part of teams that struggled to secure playoff spots in the 2017 Spring and Summer Splits, narrowly missing out on relegation. If Giants wants to have any chance of an international appearance in 2018, they will need to surpass formidable teams like G2 Esports, Fnatic, and Splyce.

Now that the Giants roster is finalized, fans of the EU LCS are aware of the 50 professional players participating in the 2018 EU LCS Spring Split, which commences on Jan. 19.
