Giants keep their hopes alive in LCS Promotion Tournament by defeating Copenhagen Wolves

Giants Gaming Clinch Victory over Copenhagen Wolves

In a nail-biting series, Giants Gaming emerged victorious over Copenhagen Wolves in their battle to secure their spot in the European LCS. The match went to a fifth and final game, with Giants ultimately taking the win.

Turnaround for Giants Gaming

Although Copenhagen Wolves initially had the upper hand, leading the series 2-1, Giants fought back and secured two consecutive victories. This means that Giants still have a chance to remain in the LCS. Their next challenge will be against Splyce, with the winner retaining their LCS spot and the loser heading to the decider match. Meanwhile, ROCCAT will face Team Huma on the other side of the bracket with the same high stakes on the line.

Roster Changes for Giants Gaming

Just weeks before the end of the regular season, Giants Gaming made significant changes to their roster. Four out of five starting players were replaced, leaving only Isaac “xPepii” Flores on the starting lineup. The new additions include Korean players Kim “Wisdom” Tae-wan and Son “Sonstar” Seung-ik, as well as former Dignitas member Lennart “SmittyJ” Warkus and surprise addition Morgan “Hustlin” Granberg.

Veteran Experience Falls Short for Copenhagen Wolves

Despite featuring veteran players like top laner Mike “Wickd” Petersen and former Gambit AD Carry Kristoffer “P1noy” Pederson, Copenhagen Wolves couldn’t surpass Giants Gaming. However, for younger players Risto “SirNukesAlot” Luuri, Tri Tin “K0u” Lam, and Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, this defeat can serve as valuable experience for their next LCS promotion bid.
