Giants and H2k Dominate Opening Day of Expansion Tournament

Two Teams Prepare for Professional Gaming Debut in Cologne

This weekend, Cologne will be hosting the final matches of the European Expansion Tournament, where two teams will secure their spots in the League Championship Series, the largest League of Legends competition in the world.

H2k Gaming, Reason Gaming, Giants! Gaming, and n!faculty will be battling it out in a series of best-of-five matches to determine who will secure their futures in the esports industry.

Giants Gaming and H2k Gaming Dominate the First Day of Competition

On the first day of competition, Giants Gaming and H2k Gaming showed their dominance by sweeping Reason Gaming and n!faculty in three straight games.

Giants Gaming’s mid laner, Isaac “PePiiNeRo” Flores, impressed with his exceptional play, leading his team to a 3-0 victory over Reason Gaming. Giants Gaming’s top laner, Jorge “Werlyb” Casanovas, also performed exceptionally well against Reason Gaming’s former LCS player Jakub “Kubon” Turewicz.

Similarly, H2k Gaming displayed their strength against n!faculty, with mid laner Fabian “Febiven” Diepstraten leading the charge. Diepstraten showcased his skills by securing a dominant lead in the series with a 9-0-0 game on Zed.

Exciting Matches Await in the Upcoming Days

The expansion tournament will continue alongside the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne event. Reason Gaming and n!faculty will face off in an elimination match, where one team will have their dreams crushed, while the other will have a chance to fight another day.

On Saturday, H2k Gaming and Giants will go head-to-head in what is expected to be a competitive battle. The winner of this match will secure a spot in the LCS, while the loser will have one final opportunity on Sunday.

European Expansion Tournament: The Path to Esports Glory

The European Expansion Tournament may not have the same level of excitement as its North American counterpart, but it remains one of the most important tournaments of the year. This tournament will determine the futures of aspiring esports players. Giants Gaming and H2k Gaming are now one step closer to achieving their dreams after an impressive first day of competition in Cologne.
