Cloud 9 Mid Laner Continues to Play from Hospital Bed
If you want to be the best at League of Legends, the most popular and competitive game in the world, you have to put in a lot of practice. Hai Du Lam, the mid laner for Cloud 9, takes this dedication to a whole new level.
Despite his recent lung collapse, Lam’s team secured a spot in next month’s All-Stars event in Paris. Unfortunately, Lam will have to watch his teammates compete from home while he recovers.
While Cloud 9 searches for a replacement mid laner, Lam is faced with the challenge of staying in form. In an incredible display of dedication, Lam played a five-hour practice session from his hospital bed, wearing an oxygen mask and hospital gown. To add to the theme, he used League of Legends champions with medical skins, like Nurse Akali and Surgeon Shen.
Although Lam’s lungs may not be in the best shape, his spirits are high. His fans are thrilled to continue watching him play, even while wearing an oxygen mask.
