Gambit Gaming Considers Benching a Gaming Legend

Gambit Gaming Decides to Bench Top Laner and Jungler

Gambit Gaming, the legendary League of Legends team, has made the decision to bench top laner Evgeny “Darien” Mazaev and jungler Danil “Diamondprox” Reshetnikov. The team states that both players have struggled to make an impact on their performance and have not shown improvement over the past seven weeks. As a result, Gambit is considering replacing them with new players.

In Danger of Losing Their LCS Spot

Gambit’s decision comes after a disastrous Super Week, where they lost four matches. This leaves their record in the League Championship Series at 5-13, placing them deep in the relegation zone and in danger of losing their spot in the LCS.

The Decline of Gambit Gaming

Gambit Gaming’s decline began with the departure of mid laner Alex “Alex Ich” Ichetovkin at the start of the Summer Split of the LCS. The team argues that their decline can be traced back to the IEM Katowice tournament in March, where they ended the season with a 4-9 record and barely avoided relegation. Since then, the team has struggled to regain their former success.

Looking for Fresh Blood

Gambit acknowledges that after being together for over two and a half years, they are in need of fresh blood. The team believes in the stability of a roster but feels that an influx of new players is necessary. They have previously brought in Sebastian “niQ” Robak as a trial mid laner and made him a permanent fixture on the team.

Replacing Reshetnikov and Mazaev will be a tough task, as they have been key players in the team’s strategy and success. However, Gambit believes that they are limited by team shot calling and communication with their jungler, so improvements in these areas are necessary. The team may also look for a more conventional and consistent player in the top lane.

The glory days of Gambit Gaming are truly coming to an end. The team was once dominant in the League of Legends competitive scene, winning multiple tournaments and becoming European champions. However, this season they are struggling to stay out of relegation and hold on to their pro gaming careers.
