GAM Esports Updates Fans on Worlds 2022 Visa Situation

GAM Esports’ manager, Khanh Hiep, has provided an update on the League of Legends team’s visa situation for their upcoming Worlds 2022 campaign. According to Hiep, the visa process is progressing well, and both GAM and SGB are working hard to ensure that the Vietnamese representatives can attend the global event.

Positive Progress for GAM Esports’ Visa Application

Hiep shared that four members of the team had already completed their interviews on September 19, and the outcomes were positive. This gives Hiep confidence that their visas will be approved soon. He also revealed that two other members are currently submitting additional information, while the final two members have their interviews scheduled for this week. Hiep remains optimistic about their visa approvals, with the full status set to be revealed on September 23.

Opportunity for GAM Esports to Compete on the International Stage

GAM Esports, a team from the Vietnam Championship Series (VCS), has been away from the League of Legends international circuit since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. They recently competed at MSI 2022 as Saigon Buffalo. However, Worlds 2022 will mark their return to the global stage. In the group stage, GAM Esports will be competing against LEC’s Rogue and LPL’s Top Esports.

Worlds 2022 Schedule and Locations

The Worlds 2022 tournament will kick off on September 29 in Mexico City, where 12 teams will compete in the Play-In Stage for one of four slots in the Group Stage. The tournament will then progress through different phases, leading up to the grand final on November 5 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
