New League of Legends Skins for April Fool’s Day Revealed
April Fool’s Day is always an exciting time for League of Legends players, as it brings with it the release of the game’s wackiest and funniest skins. This year, it seems like Galio and Sivir are getting new April Fool’s skins, as hinted by the latest PBE update.
In the past, we’ve seen hilarious skins like Meowkai, Draven Draven, and Moo Cow Alistar introduced on April Fool’s Day. Additionally, it was on this day four years ago that the URF game mode was first launched in 2014. Naturally, Riot Games is expected to continue the tradition this year with new skins, icons, and more.
New Skins: Galio in a Chicken Suit and Sivir as a Pizza Delivery Driver
The recent PBE update included an image showing Galio in a chicken suit skin, which was confirmed in a preview shared on Riot’s German Twitter account. The teaser image also features Annie in the background, though traditionally April Fool’s Day splash arts don’t have the featured champions so out of focus. The preview also revealed Sivir dressed as a pizza delivery driver.
Food Theme for this Year’s April Fool’s Skins
This year, the theme for the April Fool’s skins seems to revolve around very greasy American food. Galio is depicted holding a drumstick and wearing an apron, while Sivir is seen with a pizza. The skins reflect a departure from the pajama and toy themes of recent years.
New Twists on Jungle Monsters
In addition to the new skins, hilariously-altered Raptors have also been spotted on the PBE, adding a dark twist to Galio’s holiday skin. This marks the first time themed jungle monsters have been introduced on April Fool’s Day in League of Legends.
