G2 Progresses to LEC Spring Finals by Eliminating Fnatic from the Competition

G2 Esports Sweeps Fnatic in LEC Spring Lower Bracket Final

G2 Esports emerged victorious in the LEC Spring lower bracket final, defeating Fnatic with a convincing 3-0 sweep. This highly-anticipated matchup not only showcased the longstanding rivalry between the two teams, but also marked the return of fans to the LEC arena after a two-year hiatus. G2’s dominant performance secured their spot in the Spring Split Final against Rogue tomorrow.

Fnatic, who had previously sent G2 to the lower bracket with a 3-1 win, had high hopes for today’s match. However, G2 crushed Fnatic’s dreams and silenced the fans’ chants for “Silver Scrapes” with their superior technical abilities in League of Legends.

G2’s Commanding Performance In Game One

In game one, Fnatic started strong by securing the first blood in the bot lane with the help of Jankos’ gank. However, G2 quickly turned the tide in their favor, as they systematically took down towers and neutral objectives, leaving only Fnatic’s Nexus standing. G2’s coordinated gameplay and strategic execution led to an uncontested victory in the first game.

G2’s Dominance Continues in Game Two

In the second game, Fnatic showed more resilience in the early game, maintaining a narrow gold gap between them and G2. However, G2’s exceptional teamfighting skills and objective control allowed them to establish a significant lead in the mid-to-late stages of the game. G2’s mastery of the map and their ability to secure crucial objectives, such as the Hextech Drake’s soul and the Baron buff, propelled them to another impressive victory.

G2 Seals the Deal in Game Three

With Fnatic fighting to stay in the series, G2 once again displayed their dominance. Despite Fnatic’s efforts to push into G2’s base, G2’s Caps and BrokenBlade capitalized on a Fnatic push and destroyed multiple towers and the inhibitor in Fnatic’s base. Fnatic’s hopes were further dashed when G2 secured the Infernal Soul and Baron buff, leading to a decisive teamfight that resulted in G2’s victory. Fnatic’s valiant effort proved insufficient as G2 emerged triumphant with a quadra kill from Jankos.

G2’s impressive performance in the lower bracket paved the way for their showdown against Rogue in the LEC Spring Final. Having not dropped a single game in the lower bracket, G2’s cohesive team composition and individual player growth make them strong contenders for the LEC trophy.

On the other hand, Rogue strategically avoided facing G2 in the postseason, opting to face Misfits instead. While Rogue emerged victorious over G2 twice in the regular season, they will face a different G2 team tomorrow.

Although Fnatic’s journey in the LEC Spring Split ends with this crushing defeat, the final match promises to be a memorable one. The team with the most trophies in the region will go head-to-head with the team hungry for victory. After tomorrow, either G2 or Rogue will be crowned the LEC Spring Split 2022 Champions.
