G2 Falters in Crucial Match against Saigon Buffalo, on Verge of Elimination at MSI 2022

G2 Esports Loses Fifth Straight Game at MSI 2022

G2 Esports, the European champions, suffered another defeat at the 2022 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational. This time, they were defeated by Saigon Buffalo, bringing their record in the rumble stage to 4-5.

Heavy Blow for G2 Esports

Saigon Buffalo, who had previously won only one out of their last eight games, dominated G2 Esports and ended the game in just 25 minutes. Although the VCS representatives had already been eliminated from the tournament, they have been successful in spoiling the games for other teams, including PSG Talon.

Saigon Buffalo’s Dominance Over G2 Esports

Since their first meeting in 2018, Saigon Buffalo (formerly Phong Vũ Buffalo) has held a 4-2 record over G2 Esports in international tournaments. Today’s match showcased Saigon’s strength as they gained a significant gold advantage and secured all three dragons in just 20 minutes. They emerged victorious with a final score of 18-7, led by Jungler BeanJ with a impressive KDA of 6/0/10.

G2 Esports’ Last Chance

G2 Esports now only have one game left in their schedule—an important match against Evil Geniuses. After a winning streak of 24 consecutive games, G2 has faced five consecutive defeats and is now on the brink of elimination from MSI.
