G2 Esports Announces Bootcamp Plans in Seoul
G2 Esports, the first European team to qualify for the 2016 Worlds tournament, has announced their preparation plans leading up to the major international event. The team will be bootcamping in Seoul, South Korea, a popular spot for North American and European teams. Known for being home to some of the best League of Legends players in the world, South Korea offers valuable learning opportunities for teams and players who choose to train and compete there.
G2 has not revealed specific dates for their departure to Korea or their return, as this year’s tournament will take place in North America. However, they have stated that players and staff will be well-accommodated during their bootcamp, staying in a high-end apartment that includes a dedicated training setup, a gym, a swimming pool, and more.
G2 Esports CEO, Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago, expressed high expectations for the team in an official statement, which can be found here.
“We have extremely high expectations for ourselves, and in order to meet those expectations, we have created the best possible practice environment in Korea for our players to reach their full potential,” said Ocelote. “We will work hard and do everything we can to come fully prepared for Worlds.”
The team also stated that fans can follow and stay updated on their progress through their social media platforms and the G2 Esports website.
