G2 Esports dominates Splyce in the EU LCS Summer Split playoffs finals

G2 Esports Dominates EU LCS Split Playoffs for Second Consecutive Win

G2 Esports, a prominent team in the European League Championship Series (LCS), has emerged victorious in the split playoffs for the second year in a row. In a dominating performance against Splyce, G2 Esports showcased their prowess and solidified their position as the top team in Europe.

Reshuffling and Redemption: G2 Esports’ Journey to Success

After facing disappointment from European fans due to a lackluster performance at the 2016 Mid-Season Invitational, G2 Esports made changes to their roster and has been on an impressive winning streak throughout the Summer Split. Being the favorites going into the finals, Splyce, their only rivals in the split, couldn’t match up to G2 Esports in the four-game series.

A Stellar Performance from the Former Origen Botlane

Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen and Alfonso “Mithy” Aguirre Rodriguez, formerly of Origen, exhibited their exceptional skills in the finals. Their performance showcased their superiority compared to other players in the EU LCS. Mithy’s remarkable plays as Tahm Kench in the third game of the series turned the tables for G2 Esports in intense moments.

G2 Esports Secures Highest Seed for World Championship

Previously considered as the laughingstock of the league after a poor showing at MSI, G2 Esports has redeemed themselves and will enter the World Championship as the top seed from Europe. H2K will also be joining them, securing their spot via the championship points system. Splyce will have the opportunity to qualify through the European Regional Finals, where Fnatic, Unicorns of Love, and Giants are also vying for a chance to advance to worlds.
