Froggen and Dignitas go separate ways

Dignitas Parts Ways with Star Mid Laner Froggen

Dignitas announced today that they have officially separated from their star mid laner, Froggen.

Froggen joined Dignitas in December 2019 and played in both the LCS Spring Split and the Academy League Summer Split. However, neither team managed to reach the playoffs during the 2020 season.

Froggen is one of the longest-tenured mid laners in the esports scene. He has been playing professional League of Legends since the very first season and has competed on various teams. Froggen gained recognition for his exceptional Anivia play and consistently used the champion as a reliable pick in high-pressure situations, regardless of the meta.

In January 2016, Froggen made his debut in North America, playing his first LCS split with Echo Fox. After spending nearly two years with the organization, he returned to Europe for a short period before joining the Golden Guardians’ roster.

However, Froggen has struggled to achieve significant success in recent times. His last championship victory occurred back in 2014 with the superstar-stacked team, Alliance.

As the free agency period begins, Froggen is expected to generate high interest from teams in both North America and Europe who are looking to strengthen their mid lane position with an experienced shotcaller.
