FPX dominates DMO in LPL Summer Split

FunPlus Phoenix Secures Impressive Victory in 2020 LPL Summer Split

FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) showcased their dominance in a thrilling match against Dominus Esports in the 2020 LPL Summer Split. FPX’s ADC Lwx, who played a vital role in securing the team’s League of Legends world championship last year, delivered outstanding performances in both games.

In the first game, Lwx’s Senna contributed to 20 out of 25 team kills, while his performance on Aphelios in the second game resulted in a 10/3/3 scoreline.

Exciting Game Ends in Victory for FunPlus Phoenix

After a passive start, both teams focused on farming for key items. FPX secured early dragons, while DMO prioritized Rift Heralds. However, FPX’s superior advantage led to a 39-minute teamfight that ended DMO’s hopes of victory.

DMO’s Mistake Costs Them the Game

The second game took an unexpected turn as DMO dominated from the beginning. They gained advantages in all lanes and prioritized neutral objectives across the map. With an 8,000 gold lead, DMO seemed close to victory after acquiring Baron, Dragon Soul, and Elder Dragon. However, an error by DMO’s Caitlyn, who attacked champions instead of the Nexus, resulted in FPX’s comeback and ultimate victory.

Tune in on Sunday, Aug. 9, at 4am CT to witness an exciting match between FPX and Suning, two underdog teams competing for a spot in the playoffs. With a 9-6 record, FPX has a real chance at winning the LPL Summer Split Championship.
