FunPlus Phoenix Defeats Suning to Extend Winning Streak in LPL Summer Split

FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) emerged victorious with a 2-1 win against Suning in the 2021 LPL Summer Split. This marks their fifth consecutive series win. While Suning has been performing well and causing upsets in recent games, they were unable to match FPX’s superior macro and experience.

FPX’s Mid and Jungle Duo Claim MVP Votes

Tian and Doinb from FPX secured the MVP votes for their outstanding performances. Tian’s impressive Volibear gameplay in the series debut, with constant ganks and flawless farm, earned him the first MVP vote. Doinb, playing as Sylas, showcased his skills in stealing and utilizing opposing ultimates, leading his team to victory in the match.

Intense Matchup between Two Elite LPL Teams

In all the matches of this League of Legends series, FPX and Suning displayed an evenly matched early game. Plays made by one team in the top lane were mirrored by the other team in the bottom lane. These two teams, known for their exceptional skills, showcased a high level of play throughout the series.

FPX Secures the Victory with Veteran Experience

Once the teams started grouping up, FPX gained the upper hand in the first and third games. Suning managed to gain an advantage in the second match by allocating resources to their ADC. However, FPX’s veteran experience prevailed, resulting in a 2-1 victory for the team.

The win is crucial for FPX (10-3) as they aim to maintain their position near the top of the standings, closely trailing behind EDward Gaming (10-2). On the other hand, Suning (7-6) is now in danger of missing out on the playoffs.
