Former world champion CuVee claims Riot still hasn’t paid his portion of Samsung skins

Former Samsung World Champion CuVee Claims Unpaid Share from Samsung 2017 Skin Sales

During a recent livestream, CuVee, former Samsung World Champion, made a shocking revelation. According to him, he and other Samsung members still haven’t received their share from the Samsung 2017 skin sales.

Payment Issues for Players Remaining in Korea

CuVee pointed out that while mid laner Lee “Crown” Min-ho and support Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in, who moved to other regions, received their share without any problems, the players remaining in Korea haven’t received a single penny to this day.

Delays in Sharing World Championship Skins Sales Income

In 2017, Riot started sharing World Championship skins sales income with teams. But even after their World Championship win that year, CuVee, along with Gen.G’s Rule and retired player Ambition, have yet to receive their fair share. All three players were part of the Samsung organization at the time.

Possible Reason for the Delay

The delay in payment could be attributed to the fact that Samsung Galaxy disbanded in 2017, shortly after their second “League of Legends” World Championship win. Their LCK spot was then acquired by a Chinese organization called KSV eSports, which later rebranded as Gen.G. Gen.G continues to participate in the LCK to this day.
