Former League World Champion joins Top Esports for 2023 LPL Season

Top Esports Bolsters its League of Legends Roster with Signing of Rookie

Top Esports has made a significant addition to its League of Legends division in preparation for the upcoming season. The team announced the signing of mid laner Song “Rookie” Eui-jin today. Rookie, who previously played for Invictus Gaming and has been competing in the LPL since 2014, brings a wealth of experience and success to the team. He replaces knight, who recently departed from the team on November 25.

TES Extends Contracts and Prepares for the Future

In addition to the signing of Rookie, Top Esports has also made contract extensions with Tian and JackeyLove. These moves demonstrate the team’s commitment to its players and its long-term vision. However, Wayward and Mark, the top laner and support respectively, will see their contracts expire in November of next year.

Top Esports’ History of Dominance in the LPL

Top Esports has been a force to be reckoned with in the LPL for several years. While they fell short at Worlds 2022, being the only Chinese team to exit the tournament in the group stage, the team has had a strong track record of success. They notably reached the semifinals in 2020 after emerging as champions in the LPL Summer Split.

Rookie’s Impressive Resume and Joining Top Esports

Rookie joins Top Esports after spending one season with Victory Five, where the team failed to qualify for the World Championship despite having a talented roster. Prior to that, Rookie spent seven years with Invictus Gaming, competing in numerous international events. He also boasts an LCK trophy from 2014, showcasing his skill and prowess in the competitive League of Legends scene.
