Former G2 Esports’ top laner Expect joins Origen for European Masters competition

Origen Returns to the League of Legends Stage

Origen, the professional League of Legends team, has made a comeback after being absent since early 2017. Former LCK and LPL legend Choi “inSec” In-seok will join Origen’s new team, along with founder and owner Enrique “xPeke” Cedeño Martínez.

Origen Welcomes Top Laner Expect

Origen has recently announced the addition of top laner Ki “Expect” Dae-han, who played a crucial role in G2 Esports’ consecutive EU LCS victories. While Origen had a rough start last year, their European Masters roster looks strong this season.

Remaining Positions to be Filled

With inSec in the jungle, xPeke in the mid lane, and Expect at the top, Origen still needs to fill two more positions. It remains uncertain whether xPeke will play or take on a different role, as no official announcement has been made.

Origen’s Ambition for European Masters

Origen’s participation in the European Masters league signifies their commitment to performing well. This tournament features teams from minor regional leagues across Europe. Origen’s success in this competition may pave the way for their application to the franchised EU LCS in 2019.

Rejoining the LCS

For Origen, proving that they can effectively manage players and compete at a high level would be a significant step towards rejoining the LCS. However, the competition to join the EU LCS will be fierce, with numerous organizations vying for a spot in the league.
