FORG1VEN seeks new League team opportunities for the upcoming year

Schalke’s ADC FORG1VEN Open to Offers for 2021 LoL Season

Schalke’s substitute ADC FORG1VEN has announced today that he is “allowed to discuss offers” to join a new team for the upcoming 2021 League of Legends season.

After completing his military service in 2019, FORG1VEN became a free agent and joined S04’s roster for the 2020 season. However, following disappointing results in the first three weeks of the 2020 LEC Spring Split, FORG1VEN stated on Twitter that he would not continue playing unless changes were made to the team.

Despite some changes being made, S04 did not favor FORG1VEN. They brought in ADC Nihat “Innaxe” Aliev from their academy team, and although the team began to win more, it was not enough to achieve significant success beyond qualifying for the LEC playoffs in the summer.

This is not the first time FORG1VEN has experienced being benched or stepping down early in a split. A similar incident occurred in 2016 when the 28-year-old superstar ADC was benched by Origen due to motivational issues.

During the EU LCS era, FORG1VEN was regarded as one of the best ADCs. However, his performance declined after 2016. His most notable achievement was reaching the 2016 World Championship semifinals with H2K Gaming, a team that included three players who are still active in the LEC today: Odoamne, Jankos, and Vander.

FORG1VEN will face tough competition from talented rookies if he hopes to make a return to the LEC. The regional EU leagues are filled with upcoming talent, and being an experienced veteran no longer guarantees an easy spot on a starting lineup in the LEC.
