Forg1ven of H2K will not participate in the LCS summer split

Europe’s Prominent AD Carry Forg1ven to Miss LCS Split

One of the most highly regarded AD Carries in Europe, Konstantinos “Forg1ven” Tzortziou-Napoleon, has announced on Facebook that he will not be participating in the 2016 LCS summer split, regardless of the outcome of his deferment from the Greek military. This news comes as a disappointment to many fans who were looking forward to seeing him play at the 2016 League of Legends World Championships. Forg1ven, who played for H2K Gaming during the spring split, was the KDA leader for his team throughout the split, making him one of Europe’s most prolific ADCs.

Military Service Interruption

In February, Forg1ven gave an emotional interview where he revealed that he had been called to serve in the Greek army, expressing frustration over potentially missing out on the LCS summer split and World Championships. Greek citizens between the ages of 19 and 45 are required to serve nine months of military duty, even if they have no personal ties to Greece. This interruption in Forg1ven’s gaming career raised concerns among the League community, as it would be difficult for him to recover from such a long break.

H2K’s Deferment

Fortunately, H2K Gaming was able to obtain a deferment for Forg1ven until the end of the spring playoffs. They were tipped as one of the favorites to win the split after finishing in a strong second place in the regular split. However, they were defeated by Origen in the semifinals and Fnatic in the third place match.

Unexpected Timing

Speaking to theScore esports, Forg1ven mentioned that he always knew that his military service would come eventually, but he did not expect it to happen so soon. This unexpected timing has forced him to step down from participating in the upcoming LCS split.

In Conclusion

Forg1ven’s absence from the LCS split is a significant loss for the European League of Legends scene. Fans will have to wait to see when he will make his return to professional gaming. It remains to be seen how H2K Gaming will fare without their star ADC in the coming split.
