Focus of Vitality’s 2023 LEC Season Anchored by Crucial International Player

Team Vitality Reveals Changes to LEC Roster Ahead of 2023 Winter Season

In a recent broadcast on L’Equipe, Team Vitality founder Fabien “Neo” Devide announced the revamped LEC roster and discussed the struggles the team faced last year. Watch the broadcast here.

One of the key changes is the addition of two young imports: South-Korean rookie Photon as the new toplaner and former LPL jungler Bo replacing Haru. According to Neo, the roster will focus heavily on Bo due to his exceptional mechanics and promise as a player.

Nurturing Young Talent with Import Players

Bo, who previously served as a substitute jungler, will be the focus of the team’s strategy. His return from a ban and his excellent performance in the Challenger League have generated much anticipation for his debut in the 2023 LEC Winter Season. Additionally, the team has also brought on Photon, a talented player from T1 Challenger, to strengthen their roster.

The decision to nurture young talent like Photon and Bo was made despite a limited budget for the team this year. Team Vitality originally aimed to sign veteran players such as Mikyx and Kaiser, but ultimately selected Photon based on Coach Carter’s belief in his potential.

Additionally, the team dealt with identity issues last year, hindering their progress. Neo acknowledged this struggle and the importance of addressing it for the team to improve. He also mentioned the challenging dynamic between botlaner Carzzy and support Labrov, leading to their decision to part ways with at least one of them. With only Perkz and Selfmade remaining from the 2022 season, Neo praised Perkz for his game sense, macro vision, and motivation to perform better.

Exciting Possibilities for the 2023 LEC Winter Season

With the inclusion of young imports like Photon and Bo, Team Vitality’s roster for the 2023 LEC Winter Season is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable and exciting in the league. Fans can catch their first match against Fnatic on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 3pm CT.
