Fnatic’s Newbie Top Laner, Adam, Diagnosed with COVID-19

Fnatic’s Adam Tests Positive for COVID-19, Out of LEC Summer Playoffs

Fnatic’s rookie top laner, Adam, has tested positive for COVID-19 just two days before their match against Team Vitality in the LEC Summer Playoffs. Adam’s positive test result came after the players returned from a three-day break following the end of the League of Legends season. As a result, he will not be able to join his team for the first series of the postseason.

Fnatic took immediate action and requested tests for all other players and staff at their Berlin office. Fortunately, the tests confirmed that there are no other positive cases within the organization.

Changes in LEC Playoffs to Ensure Safety

Riot Games has made changes to the LEC playoffs in response to Adam’s positive test. Fnatic will now play in their team office, ensuring the safety of all parties involved. Team Vitality will also play remotely. Although Adam will not be in the same office as his teammates, he will still be able to compete with them remotely.

For the remainder of the weekend’s playoff matches, teams will continue to play in the studio with the full broadcast team. It is hoped that everyone involved can stay safe and that no further positive cases emerge among the teams.

Changes to LCS Finals Due to Pandemic Situation

In the LCS, the live LCS Finals event in Newark had to be canceled due to the current pandemic situation in the country. Instead, the playoffs will be held at the LCS Arena in Los Angeles, with no fans permitted in attendance.
