Fnatic’s League of Legends team bids farewell to head coach Youngbuck

Fnatic Announces Change in Coaching Staff for 2020

Fnatic, the League of Legends team, has made a significant change to their coaching staff for the upcoming year. Joey “YoungBuck” Steltenpool, the team’s head coach, will no longer be leading the team in 2020.

Internal Issues Lead to Disappointment

In a statement, YoungBuck revealed that the team faced numerous internal issues during the spring season that they were unable to overcome. These issues ultimately led to their struggles and disappointments throughout the year.

Despite reaching the quarterfinals at Worlds 2019, Fnatic’s performance in 2019 was a step down from their achievements in the previous year. They faced defeat against Origen in the Spring Playoffs and G2 Esports in the Summer Finals. Their journey at Worlds was cut short by FunPlus Phoenix.

Looking Towards the Future

YoungBuck expressed his plans to join another team in the hope of achieving new heights in the LEC and beyond. His role as a team director played a crucial role in Fnatic’s success in 2018. Despite the struggles in 2019, the team still experienced significant accomplishments alongside their challenges.
