Fnatic stays in the race for playoffs with a victory against Vitality in the 2019 LEC Spring Split

Fnatic Defeats Vitality in LEC Match

League of Legends fans in Europe got to witness an exciting Fizz game in the recent LEC match between Fnatic and Vitality. Unfortunately for Vitality fans, Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro’s Fizz wasn’t enough to secure a victory against Fnatic.

In this week’s LEC matches, Fnatic, the 2018 Worlds runners-up, showed signs of improvement by winning two games. However, the game against Vitality proved to be a tough challenge.

Jiizuke’s Fizz Shines but Fails to Carry

Despite Fnatic’s mid laner Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek taking an early lead with Zoe, Jiizuke managed to secure first blood for Vitality nine minutes into the game. Throughout the early game, Jiizuke was able to pick up a few kills but often died shortly after doing so.

In a heated back-and-forth match, the turning point came when Fnatic secured the Baron at the 34-minute mark. However, Vitality swiftly responded by eliminating everyone on Fnatic except for Nemesis.

Vitality’s Epic Plays Not Enough for Victory

In a bid to regain control, Vitality’s support Jakub “Jactroll” Skurzyński stole the Elder Drake from Fnatic using Tahm Kench’s Tongue Lash. Despite sacrificing two players to take down Fnatic’s middle inhibitor, Fnatic managed to pick up their second Baron and win a crucial teamfight. This allowed them to push into Vitality’s base and end the game in 41 minutes.

Fnatic’s Playoff Hopes Stay Alive

With this win, Fnatic’s record improves to 5-7, while Vitality falls to 8-4 in the 2019 LEC Spring Split. Fnatic’s playoff hopes are still alive, and they will face Schalke 04 next week at 11am CT on March 1st, aiming to continue their winning streak.
