Fnatic maintains tie for second spot in EU LCS with dominant win over Schalke 04

Fnatic Returns to Second Place in EU LCS with Victory over Schalke 04

Fnatic dominated Schalke 04 in their recent match, reclaiming second place in the EU LCS alongside G2 Esports.

In the absence of ADC Martin “Rekkles” Larsson, who chose to bench himself due to the change in meta, Fnatic relied on mid laner Rasmus “Caps” Whinther to step up and fill the void. And today, he did just that.

With an early gank in the mid lane, Caps secured a kill and a significant CS lead, giving Fnatic an early advantage. In fact, he even took down the mid tower within the first six minutes of the game.

Despite facing a large early gold deficit, Schalke managed to find picks across the map to stay in the game. However, Fnatic quickly responded with trades and secured key objectives to maintain their lead.

Unfortunately for Schalke, their resilience was short-lived. As the game progressed, Fnatic capitalized on Schalke’s positional mistakes and made numerous successful picks across the map. They dominated team fights and increased their already substantial gold lead.

After securing the Baron at the 25-minute mark, Fnatic easily defeated Schalke in a one-sided match, keeping their aspirations of claiming first place at the end of the season alive.

A victory for Schalke would have resulted in both teams having the same scoreline, tying them for third place alongside Fnatic. However, Fnatic proved to be the superior team and are now just two wins away from catching up to Misfits in first place.

Fnatic will aim to maintain their winning streak when they face off against H2K in their upcoming game. Schalke, on the other hand, will be up against another top team, G2 Esports, in the EU LCS.
