Fnatic begins comeback at MSI with a stunning win over LCK champions KINGZONE

Fanatic Dominates the 2018 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational

The second day of the group stage at the 2018 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational delivered an exciting match between Fnatic and KINGZONE DragonX. Fnatic’s dominating performance showcased their skills and potential to the rest of the teams in this group.

In the entire game, Fnatic maintained control of the map. They established an early lead and managed to hold onto it. Despite losing one fight near the end, Fnatic still managed to secure two inhibitors, an inhibitor tower, and a Nexus tower.

This victory is a significant turnaround for Fnatic, who had a rough start with two losses on the first day. It also revealed the vulnerabilities of KINGZONE DragonX – a well-executed draft, shutting down the jungler, and capitalizing on the early lead can make them beatable.

The key to Fnatic’s success in this match was their comfort picks. Mid laner Rasmus “Caps” Winther chose Corki, a champion he’s known for and had great success with during the Spring Split. Caps was definitely the MVP of the match, showcasing excellent gameplay with his Corki pick.

In every game, when the bot lane faces immense pressure, Caps consistently steps up and performs. This match was no exception, with Caps finishing with an impressive scoreline of 6-1-8. His proactive map rotations and confidence in the late-game were crucial to Fnatic’s victory.

Although Caps stood out as the MVP, the entire Fnatic team performed exceptionally well, especially substitute top laner Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau. Bwipo’s performance today was much stronger compared to yesterday, giving hope to Fnatic and their fans for another successful run through the group stage, similar to last year’s Worlds.

Next, Fnatic sets their sights on Team Liquid, their upcoming opponent later today.
