Fnatic and Hong Kong Attitude aim for dominance in their groups on day 3 of Worlds

Day Three of Worlds: C and D Groups Battle for Advancement

The third day of the World Championship is set to begin tomorrow, featuring intense matches between Groups C and D to determine the teams moving forward.

Cloud9 and Team WE have been performing exceptionally well in the past two days, and now it’s time for the strong contenders from Groups C and D to bring their best game.

Group C: Fnatic in the Lead

Fnatic, representing the EU LCS, currently holds the top position in Group C. Their competition, Young Generation from the GPL and Kaos Latin Gamers from the CLS, are not as formidable. Fnatic is expected to dominate their group and emerge as the favorites.

Tight Competition in Group D

Hong Kong Attitude, representing the LMS, and 1907 Fenerbahçe Espor from the TCL are both formidable teams in the play-in stage of Group D. The battle for the top spot in this group is uncertain and could go either way.

1907 Fenerbahçe Espor showed an outstanding performance in their last split in the TCL. With the addition of former LCK Longzhu Gaming star Kim “Frozen” Tae-il to the roster in 2016, they have been able to find a winning combination with Berke “Thaldrin” Demir in the top lane and Kang “Move” Min-su in the jungle. This synergy has propelled them to success.

On the other hand, Hong Kong Attitude had a less impressive season in the LMS. However, in their average season, they managed to defeat strong teams like Flash Wolves and ahq, which raises the question of whether a mediocre team from a major region is more valuable than the best team from a minor region.

While Fenerbahçe’s performance is commendable, much of their strength relies on the synergy between Frozen and Move. Unfortunately, due to visa issues, Move is currently unable to play with the team, as stated on the official Worlds website. This absence might severely impact Fenerbahçe’s performance, giving Hong Kong Attitude the edge in Group D.

Although HKA is seen as the favorites, the outcome of the group is unpredictable. The first match of the day features Young Generation and Kaos Latin Gamers at 1am ET/5am GMT.
