FlyQuest Reveals 2019 LCS Summer Split Schedule with Neopets Characters
FlyQuest, one of the LCS teams, has taken a unique and adorable approach to announce its schedule for the upcoming 2019 Summer Split. Instead of the traditional method, the organization has used characters from the popular online game, Neopets, to represent each team.
Using the recognizable color scheme associated with each team, FlyQuest has assigned different animals to represent them. For example, Golden Guardians were represented by a gold and blue griffin, TSM by a grey and white dinosaur, Clutch Gaming by a red bull, and Team Liquid by a blue and white seahorse creature. The animals chosen match well with each organization.
Many members of the League of Legends community appreciated the nostalgic reference to Neopets. Even popular streamer Joedat “Voyboy” Esfahani praised the reveal as brilliant and encouraged fans to donate items for his “dying Neopets.” Liquid also acknowledged FlyQuest’s creativity and considered them the winners of the schedule reveal.
To add to the excitement, the Neopets team responded with enthusiasm by showcasing a custom-made dragon pet wearing a FlyQuest jersey. Fans can look forward to more Neopets references from FlyQuest throughout the Summer Split when the season kicks off on June 1.
