FlyQuest parts ways with majority of 2022 LCS roster, signaling the inception of a new era

FlyQuest Announces Complete Roster Reshuffling for 2023 Season

Change is inevitable in professional League of Legends, and even favorites within the scene can be impacted. FlyQuest, the LCS team, has recently announced a complete reshuffling of their roster for the upcoming 2023 season. Almost every member of the main team, including Tomo, Josedeodo, Toucouille, Johnsun, and Aphromoo, will not be returning next year. Only top laner Philip remains contracted to the team.

Uncertain Future for FlyQuest Roster

FlyQuest has yet to reveal the players who will fill the roster in their place. However, the 2022 iteration of FlyQuest’s roster was known for being a successful underdog story and taking risks against top LCS players. Fans eagerly anticipated their next moves, whether it was being the first team to adopt Smite Janna top or supporting their debuting mid laner.

It remains unknown where most of the departing players will go after leaving the organization. Josedeodo, however, will be stepping into the LLA for the first time in his career, as announced by Estral Esports.

One player with an uncertain future is Aphromoo, a veteran and pinnacle of LCS talent for many years. Rumors have not linked him to any other team as of now.

There are rumors circulating that former Team Liquid Academy support Eyla and former TSM jungler Spica may join FlyQuest’s 2023 lineup, but no official confirmation has been given.

Internal Management Changes at FlyQuest

FlyQuest has also made internal management changes, including the addition of president and chief gaming officer Christopher “Papasmithy” Smith and new CEO Brian Anderson. Both have expressed a strong interest in upholding the organization’s mission while expanding their presence in the LCS.
