FlyQuest completes LCS bot lane with the signing of Busio

FlyQuest’s League of Legends Team Announces New Starting Lineup for 2024

After a disappointing 2023 run, FlyQuest’s League of Legends division is making changes for the upcoming new year with a reported new bottom lane combo.

According to esports reporter Alejandro Gomis, former 100 Thieves support Busio has signed with FlyQuest as one of the team’s new starting players. He will be joined by FlyQuest AD carry prospect Massu, who could make his LCS debut next year. The team will also welcome Bwipo and Inspired, creating a formidable core for the 2024 season.

New Hope for FlyQuest after a Struggling 2023

The addition of these two players marks a revamp for FlyQuest’s efforts in the LCS, as they failed to find success in 2023 despite their star-studded roster. The organization had high-profile signings such as star jungler Spica, veteran top laner Impact, and rising star LCK marksman Prince.

During the 2023 Spring Split, FlyQuest seemed promising by going undefeated through the first few weeks. However, they faced a setback with their first loss and struggled to perform consistently throughout the split and the year.

Disappointing Seasons and Speculations

FlyQuest faced questionable losses during the rest of the Spring Split, leading to a defeat against the Golden Guardians in the playoffs. The Summer Split didn’t fare any better, as they finished in ninth place during the regular season and missed the post-season entirely.

Busio and 100 Thieves also struggled to achieve consistent success, despite having star players like Ssumday, Closer, and Doublelift. They experienced early exits from the playoffs two years in a row.

Busio’s departure from 100 Thieves raises questions about Doublelift’s future with the organization. With the exception of mid laner Quid, all players on the Thieves’ current roster will become free agents by the end of November, leaving significant gaps in the lineup.

Overall, FlyQuest’s new lineup brings hope for a better performance in the upcoming season. Only time will tell if these changes will lead to success for both FlyQuest and 100 Thieves.
