FlyQuest bids farewell to a LoL superstar

North American organization FlyQuest and LCS player mutually part ways

North American organization FlyQuest and one of the top players in the LCS have decided to go their separate ways, according to an official announcement from the organization. Lee “Prince” Chae-hwan, a Korean player, will no longer be representing FlyQuest. Prince joined the team at the end of 2022 after playing for the LCK team Liiv SANDBOX.

Prince’s departure from FlyQuest

FlyQuest announced the departure of Prince through a heartfelt tweet, stating that they part ways with heavy hearts. The organization believes that Prince has a bright future ahead of him and wishes him the best in his next adventure. The tweet can be viewed here.

Prince’s success and FlyQuest’s aspirations

Prince, considered one of the most talented players from the LCK, was brought in by FlyQuest during the 2022 off-season to strengthen their roster and compete for the LCS title. Despite a strong start in the spring split, where they led for most of the regular split, FlyQuest failed to win the Spring Playoffs and did not qualify for the Mid-Season Invitational. However, Prince showcased his individual skills, achieving the second-highest KDA and average gold per minute according to the website Games of Legends.

Future plans and opportunities for Prince

It is currently unclear whether Prince will remain in the LCS or consider opportunities in other regions. According to his profile on OP.GG, Prince is currently playing on the South Korean server alongside other participants in Worlds 2023.

With Prince becoming a free agent, he is expected to attract interest from multiple teams during the off-season. The transfer window for the 2024 off-season will begin on November 21, 2023.
