Flame embarks on new journey, signs with LGD Gaming in China

League of Legends Pro Flame Signs with LGD Gaming in China

Lee “Flame” Ho-Jong, a legendary Korean League of Legends player, is set to join LGD Gaming in China. The reported worth of his contract is over half a million dollars. This move comes as more and more players are making the transition from Korea to China due to the allure of higher salaries and lucrative streaming contracts. In fact, more than 20 players have already made the move to the League of Legends Pro League in Shanghai.

Before signing with LGD, Flame allegedly received offers worth around $1 million from Stand Point Gaming, but declined as they were not participating in the LoL Pro League. He also reportedly received offers from Team Snake, World Elite, and Invictus Gaming.

Flame has been playing top lane for CJ Blaze since October 2012 and competed in multiple OGN seasons. Despite his success, including a second-place finish in the Spring 2013 season, he is widely regarded as the best player not to win an OGN Champions tournament. Now, Flame is ready to make his mark in Shanghai alongside other top laner LGD have picked up.

Earlier this month, LGD also signed Choi “Acorn” Cheon-ju, a world championship semifinalist and OGN Champions winner. The team has yet to make a decision on which player will participate on the active roster.
