First update for Teamfight Tactics is scheduled for PBE release today

League of Legends’ Teamfight Tactics Receives Quick Update After Release

The new game mode in League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, will receive an update on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) less than 24 hours after its release, according to August Browning, senior champion designer at Riot Games.

Champion Changes in Teamfight Tactics

Buffs, nerfs, and adjustments are coming to several champions in Teamfight Tactics. Blitzcrank is the champion receiving the most changes. The damage of his ability Rocket Grab is increasing from 300 to 600 on level three, and the speed of both his missiles and pull are almost doubling. Darius’ Decimate damage will decrease at level three from 300 to 250, and Gangplank’s barrel damage is getting a direct buff, going from 100-200 to 150-400. Mordekaiser’s Obliterate will deal more damage in the third tier, increasing from 350 to 450, but will cost 100 mana instead of 75. Graves, Leona, Ashe, and Volibear will also be tweaked. Draven, the strongest champion in Teamfight Tactics, will not be nerfed immediately but changes are expected soon.

Champion Balance and Update Timing

August Browning has mentioned that not all champions are intended to be at the same power level, and some are supposed to be weak while others are meant to be S-tier. He also stated that the changes should be implemented in the PBE after the redeploy in the morning.

Stay tuned for further updates and adjustments in Teamfight Tactics!
