Faker’s Unbeatable Streak: An Undefeated Record on a LoL Champion in 4 Consecutive LCK Seasons

Faker Continues Historic Run with Corki in LCK Playoffs

Faker, the greatest player in League of Legends history, is in the midst of another extraordinary personal streak. In the recent LCK playoff match against Dplus KIA, Faker secured his 17th consecutive win with Corki, one of his trademark champions. His consistent success with multiple iconic champions is a rare feat in the game.

After being sidelined with an arm injury for the entire month of July, Faker made a comeback for T1 in the playoff run. T1 had struggled without him, losing seven out of eight matches. However, Faker’s return has revitalized the team, and today, he used his unbeatable Corki to secure T1’s spot in the second round of the LCK Summer Playoffs.

In game three of the recent match against Dplus KIA, Faker continued his incredible winning streak with Corki. He has not lost a game with Corki since April 2020, winning 17 consecutive games with the champion. During this streak, he has defeated nine different franchises and maintained a KDA of 6.34 across all 17 games, according to Games of Legends.

Despite his remarkable streak, Faker has played Corki in very few international matches. Sixteen out of the 17 wins have come in LCK regional contests, with one win in the Mid-Season Cup held between the LCK and China’s LPL during the pandemic.

What sets Faker’s Corki streak apart is his ability to adapt. Halfway through the streak, he embraced a new build for the champion, focusing on AP-heavy items like Luden’s Tempest and Void Staff instead of the traditional AD-focused build. Regardless of his build, Faker’s performance on Corki remains exceptional.

According to Games of Legends, Faker holds a lifetime record of 36-12 on Corki. Despite not being a popular pick in the current meta, Faker has consistently proved his ability to dominate with Corki, especially in the last 17 games he played.
