Faker’s Surprising Prediction for the LCK 2023 Spring Split Winner

Top League of Legends Pros Predict Dplus KIA to Win 2023 LCK Split

During the 2023 LCK Media Day, superstar players from the League of Legends community gathered to answer some burning questions before the start of the new season.

When asked which team they believed would win the split, the pros, who were not allowed to choose their own team, pointed to the team they thought would be victorious and justified their choice to the media.

Several players, including Clid from Hanwha Life Esports, Lehends from KT Rolster, and Rascal from DRX, all agreed that Dplus KIA would be the strongest contender this season. They cited the team’s talented roster, extensive experience, and knowledgeable coaching staff as the key factors behind their prediction.

It also helps that DK recently acquired Deft, the former AD carry from DRX, who achieved a stunning underdog victory at the 2022 World Championship. With Deft joining forces with the formidable mid-jungle duo of Canyon and ShowMaker, it’s no wonder why many players voted for DK.

However, there were a few outliers. Peanut, the veteran jungler from Gen.G, and ShowMaker, the superstar mid laner from DK, both believed that T1 would lead the pack in the Spring Split. They emphasized the strong synergy within the team, as T1 did not make any changes to their roster during the offseason.

The only player to choose a team outside of T1 and DK was Faker, the legendary icon. Surprising many, he selected Gen.G without providing further explanation.

Although Gen.G may have weakened slightly after losing star AD carry Ruler to free agency, they still boast Peanut and Chovy, who are considered two of the best players in the league. The absence of Ruler means that the team and their teammates will need to step up their game.

The 2023 LCK Spring Split is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
