Faker’s Influence on a LoL Player’s Azir Experiment Ends in Disappointment

Faker’s Azir: A Legendary Champion-Player Pairing

Faker, widely regarded as one of the greatest League of Legends players of all time, has become synonymous with Azir, a champion in the game. However, not everyone can master Azir like Faker can.

Recently, a League player decided to give Azir a try after witnessing Faker’s exceptional gameplay with the champion at the League World Championship. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned for this player. They shared their gameplay clips on Reddit, which turned out to be a collection of lowlights rather than highlights.

If you want to see the gameplay for yourself, you can check out the Reddit post here.

Struggles with Emperor’s Divide

In the posted clips, the player attempted to use Azir’s ultimate ability, Emperor’s Divide. Unfortunately, both attempts were way off the mark and failed to hit any enemies. The second instance was particularly disappointing as the player used Azir’s E-Q combo to join a skirmish, but their ultimate ability was not available at the time. This forced them to pause inside the opposing Veigar’s Event Horizon, waiting for Emperor’s Divide to recharge, only for it to miss its mark once again.

Azir’s Impactful Ultimate Ability

When Azir’s ultimate ability successfully displaces an enemy and sends them backward, it creates an incredibly satisfying visual spectacle. However, when the ultimate simply glides across the Rift without hitting anyone, it lacks the same impact. The grand and extravagant animation tied to Emperor’s Divide feels underwhelming when it fails to make contact with anything.

Faker’s Mastery of Azir

Azir is known for being a champion with a high skill ceiling, meaning experienced players can utilize him to his fullest potential. Faker has established himself as the best Azir player in the world and has played over 150 games with the champion throughout his career. This is almost 100 games more than his next most-played champion, according to Games of Legends. In this year’s World Championship, Faker has an impressive record of 4 wins and 1 loss with Azir, achieving a KDA of 6.1.

Looking Ahead: Worlds Final

It’s almost certain that Faker will showcase his mastery of Azir once again at the upcoming Worlds final on November 19 against Weibo Gaming. Fans can look forward to witnessing his exceptional skills with the champion.
