Exciting Musical Mashup for TFT Set 10 Debuts at Worlds, Paving the Way for Remix Rumble

Riot Games Celebrates 10 Sets of Teamfight Tactics with Special Music by Steve Aoki

Riot Games marked a major milestone for Teamfight Tactics (TFT) at Worlds on Nov. 19, as they unveiled the tenth set of the game along with a special musical collaboration featuring DJ and producer Steve Aoki. Set 10, called Remix Rumble, introduces a music-focused theme to TFT.

Music Takes the Spotlight in TFT Set 10

The centerpiece of TFT Set 10 is its music. The set features popular bands like K/DA and Heartsteel as traits, and each time a player activates a trait on their board, the corresponding musical track mixes with existing tracks, turning the player into a DJ-like figure. This adds a unique musical element to the gameplay experience, as players carefully construct their compositions to dominate the game. Riot celebrated the launch of TFT Set 10 with a special music video at Worlds, featuring Steve Aoki.

A Collaborative Effort for the Soundtrack

Kole Hicks, the lead composer of TFT Set 10, worked closely with Steve Aoki to create the soundtrack for the Remix Rumble musical trailer. Hicks sent over tracks from various musical genres, allowing Aoki to select the elements that resonated with him. Aoki then built the remix based on the idea of blending different musical styles together while still creating a standout track on its own. Hicks took Aoki’s remix stems and added his own touch to create a custom music track that would complement the video.

Experience the Headliner Mechanic in Remix Rumble

While mashing together musical tracks through champions like Jhin and Bard is an enjoyable aspect of TFT Set 10, the main mechanic to look forward to is the Headliner. All 60 champions in Set 10 have a Headliner bonus, showcasing their unique abilities and adding depth to the gameplay.

Players can already test out TFT Set 10 on PBE servers, and the official release date for Remix Rumble is Nov. 21.
